What is the FAN Baddies Network?

The FAN Baddies Network (BN) is a unique, 6-month leadership development program tailored for emerging Reproductive Justice advocates across Florida, with an intentional focus on Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), and LGBTQ+ youth. Fellows, known as "Baddies," join a dynamic cohort dedicated to creating transformative change and fostering collective liberation through FAN’s values: Power, Collective, Love, and Intersectionality.
This fellowship equips the next generation of changemakers with practical skills, knowledge, and a network to become compassionate, impactful leaders in Reproductive Justice advocacy.

What Will You Accomplish?

  • Training & Development: Participate in workshops on topics like Reproductive Justice 101, Mutual Aid, Organizing, and Fundraising.

  • Network Project: Work with FAN staff to curate one impactful Reproductive Justice project of your choice, address key community needs, and empower your advocacy.

  • Mentorship & Support: Receive guidance from FAN’s experienced staff and participate in regular office hours and 1:1s to support your growth and fellowship tasks.

Who Should Apply?

The Baddies Network is open to:

  • BIPOC, Queer & Trans Florida Residents ages 18-40 and are passionate about Reproductive Justice.

  • Those ready to dedicate 5-7 hours per week for training, community events, and engagement activities.

  • Individuals with an interest in leading change in their communities, fighting for collective liberation, and uplifting marginalized voices in Reproductive Justice.

Key Program Details

  • Commitment: Hybrid model (70% virtual, 30% in-person)

  • Key Dates:

    1. Application Period: December 9th – January 17th.

    2. Virtual Interviews: February 3 – February 6th.

    3. Program Start: First week of March.

    4. In-person Closing Convening: Date TBD, Between July 7th- July 20th.

  • Application Steps:

    1. Complete the online application form by January 17th.

    2. Attend a virtual interview with FAN program leaders.

    3. Offers will be sent on February 10th.

    4. Confirm your participation by February 13th if selected.

  • Compensation: 

    1. We will be offering a $500 stipend to those who have completed the program and deliverables. Lodging, travel, and meals related to convening participation will be covered by FAN in accordance with our expense guidelines.
